 Yes it is true, I, RevMark, is getting married. My bride to be and I decided that we should have a wedding site. A site to show us off.
My folks live out of state. She lives in Canada. We both felt that we could make it easier for friends and relatives to see who the heck is he/she marrying?!
We both love the Vintage template from Joomlashack so much we decided to use it here on our wedding site too. I used the Vintage template on Barb's Divine Interior Design website.

 What started out as a simple conversation over an online dating site has now become MyDesigner.info for what is now Barbara Chauvin Designs (previously Divine Interior Design) and the owner, my bride to be!
We wanted this site to reflect a simple elegance. Joomlashack's Vintage template was the ticket. It had the design queues that really make this sire reflect what Barbara does in homes.

 As time goes on I am learning many things about design. One of those things is preparing for future growth in a website. Not so much growth in unique visitors or bandwidth. Those things are fairly simple to remedy. The difficult part is to discern whether the current template you have designed will fill the future needs of the site.
When I built the White Dove Fellowship site, I decided to use a Flash links module and other modules to link to ancillary WDF sites. This design worked for awhile. But now, I am considering making the main WDF site into a news style portal site, meaning that I need to free up the module areas for content.
The main WDF site currently links to about 5 other WDF sites. All of which use the same template with different colors on each to give a continuity to the main site.
This is where the WDF Portal comes into play. Shortly, when you go to whitedove.org, you will be sent to the WDF-Portal site for 10 seconds then redirected to the main White Dove site. This 10 seconds give the visitor the opportunity to select from one of the other White Dove sites. I will also be using a cookie to determine if the visitor has been to the site within the last few days. I haven't determined the elapsed time yet. If the visitor has visited with in this time period, the site will automatically reroute to the main site. If the visitor hasn't visited within that time, the portal will load.

 I needed to create a site to be the home of White Dove's School of Practical Ministry. This "school" is an online eLearning site utilizing the wonderfully powerful LMS Moodle. LMS stands for Learning Management System. Similar to CMS (Joomla!) Content Management System.
I tested nearly 10 LMS systems and settled on Moodle. It's ease of installation, capabilities, and customizable theme (appearance) is primarily why I chose Moodle.
Currently, the Moodle installation here is a separate system from the Joomla install and uses its own MySQL database. There are a few developers attempting to integrate Moodle into Joomla! as a component. Whe a stable mature component is established I will probably bring it under the Joomla! umbrella.

 I decided to redesign ChurchTechHead.com. The old template was too restricting. It was a fixed width with dixed width graohics that wood break if I tried to load a standard size banner ad. I was also limitedt in module positions.
So I turned to RocketThemes again. These guys really know how to put together a template. This new template has at least 10 module positions. The only thing is that I have temporaily lost my really nice heading logo art. At least until I can figure out how to incorporate it into the new template.
